AI Detectives – Sustainable Transport Through Time – Primary School Darda

During a visit to the Technical Museum in Zagreb, sixth-grade students took part in an inquiry-based activity led by Andreja Dorić, Biology and Chemistry teacher. Students photographed an older means of transport and compared it with modern vehicles, focusing on fuel types, energy consumption, and environmental impact.

They discovered that older vehicles relied mainly on petrol and diesel engines, producing higher emissions and consuming more fuel. By comparing them with modern vehicles, students recognized improvements in efficiency and emission reduction, while also discussing the ongoing challenges of fossil fuel dependence. The activity encouraged students to think about the future of sustainable transport, including electric and hydrogen-powered vehicles.
